Think About How You Can Increase Your Income Line Your Budget

Why is this important?

Your income line is essentially how much money you make. This may be your salary. 

But this doesn’t need to only be your salary. 

There are lots of ways to make additional money outside of your main employment and salary. 

There is a limit to how much cost you can save. But there is no limit to how much money you can make. 

So it is worthwhile thinking about how you can increase the income line of your budget. 

How do I implement this?

1. Come up with a list of ways you can make money

Research different ways you can make additional income and make a list of all these methods. 

2. Pick one (or more) ways of increasing your income and assign an amount to it

Once you have a list of ways to make more money, think about which of these you can easily do. The easiest is usually selling your belongings that you no longer need or use. Another can be selling your skills. There are lots of options (see the link above for ideas on this). 

💡Top tip: don’t overcomplicate additional income generation - pick ways that are achievable for you and set amounts that are realistic. You want to end up generating more income and feeling proud of that rather than feeling disheartened because you set yourself an unrealistic goal.
