What is your take? Thoughts? Opinions?

Do you fall for this as a consumerist trap...

Hello fellow financial freedom seeker,

Valentine’s Day is coming up and you either hate it because you’re single, go all out celebrating it with your significant other or view it as a consumerist trap.

Restaurant prices increase drastically if you go out to eat on this one day. Is there a more obvious unnecessary spend?

Your one simple step this week is

To not succumb to consumerist traps like Valentine’s Day

My husband and I have an annual tradition of having cheese & wine with a movie at home. Although that might not happen this year as we have the addition of a newborn so time alone is unheard of 😅

You can still celebrate your love without breaking the bank by:

  1. Going out to eat any other day

  2. Having a home based meal like a movie night or home cooked meal

  3. Doing a low cost date like going to the cinema. Here are cinema deals you can get in the U.K.

Reply and let me know how you choose to celebrate Valentine’s Day (or if you even do)

Til next week,
